Cook Corporate are delighted to announce Ed Schofield’s appointment as Partner and Head of Corporate at the firm.
Ed joined the firm in 2018 as a Paralegal and quickly became a Trainee. He then qualified into the Corporate department, became an Associate at the firm, and shortly thereafter was promoted to Partner.
In 2023 Ed then joined Burges Salmon LLP, where he acted on a wide range of legal matters for the internationally renowned firm. The experience and new level of understanding he gained from Burges Salmon during his time there has given Ed a unique perspective when it comes to how law firms can and should operate, with client care at the forefront of Ed’s approach to corporate law.
“Ed trained here at Cook Corporate and I am delighted that he has returned to take on his new position as Head of Corporate. His time at Burges Salmon will be a phenomenal asset to him moving forward, and he will play a vital role in the ongoing expansion and client care of Cook Corporate” stated Charles Cook, Managing Partner.
Ed is Bristol born and bred, having attended Churchill Community School and studied at the University of Exeter. He previously worked at Morgan & Pope Solicitors and Clarke Willmott.

Ed has worked on a wide range of corporate transactions including the sale of £100m turnover ONEPOST, the sale of Megabus to listed company Stagecoach PLC, and the sale of F30 Building Products Limited to listed company SIG PLC.
